I love EarthBound but I can like Mother 3 too. But the thing about Mother 3 that I don’t really enjoy is the difficulty. To put it more clearly, I don’t really like the difficulty in Mother 3 and I think it is less enjoyable. I like EarthBound more better because it’s more balanced and less grind heavy. But I can see people enjoying Mother 3 more better. If you like Mother 3 more, then good on you! I just have a different opinion.

Western film critics, as seen by Japanese people, are just the Western versions of such Japanese people.

Re:Creators is one of the best anime and the most underrated anime in my opinion. People criticizes it cuz its lack of actions scenes and the tons of expositions. However, in this case I think the exposition scenes were both necessary and interesting. This is not an action anime, this is a story about creations, creators and the audience (including the interactions among them), and if you don't understand that, then the series is not probably for you. Plotholes? This series may not be perfect, but many people is complaining about a lot of plotholes, and when I read what are those plotholes I realize that they simply didn't understand the story (mostly because they didn't pay attention to the exposition). The dialogue is unnecessary?, let me tell you that you are wrong, for example when Meteora came up with the theory that since they already met their "Gods"... that would mean asking their God to simply add ? Any notes on your novel/manga/video game that makes them have more powers and abilities? And the decisions these heroes make when they are in their God's world. Do they do it of their own free will or do they do it because of the author's predetermined personality and background, which influences him to make such a decision? How many of them were influenced not only by their Creators? And there are many more points that are covered in the series that are important to the plot but I am not going to explain more than what I am already doing. Those are good talking points. But because the majority of anime's audience are teenagers and children who have short attention spans, they are discarded. Because normally children don't find philosophy interesting. They just want to see flashy, explosive fight scenes. This will continue until they grow up and have the mental capacity to appreciate them much later, that is if they haven't lost their innocence and abandoned their anime hobby due to "adult life". On the other hand, I saw some people angry cuz the ending but its like yall dont get the point of the story and how they planned to "defeat" her. Altair defeated with the power of love? This is the part most of the people (including some of those who loves the anime) fails to comprehend. Altair was not defeated, but bribed. What was the goal of Altair? Destroying the world? No, that was the consequence for her not being able to achieve her goal. Altair's goal was to be with Setsuna, period. She clearly said it in episode 21. Her rampage was nothing, but the way in which she decided to release her frustration and anger because she couldn't be with her creator. Therefore, when Sota allowed her to be with Setsuna, the logical path was for Altair to abandon her rampage and focus in Setsuna instead. If she would have rejected Setsuna, then Altair's character would have lost all her identity. She even said in episode 21 that no matter if that Setsuna was real or not, she just simply couldn't harm her. Now, knowing this, at the end, Sota just gave her what she wanted and she went away. The main heroes ended up negotiating with a terrorist they could not defeat, and I just loved that because it is hardly seen in anime these days.

I first saw Cardcaptor Sakura when I was 23 in 2012, and I loved it. Now I'm gonna be 35 this year and I'm currently re-watching it. It still has an impact on my heart.

What makes Sakura such great character is the great balance between the positive and negative aspects of her personality. She’s athletic, cheery, selfless and most simply and best of all, just a nice person. But she is also clumsy, a bit of a scaredy cat and has a temper. One of my favourite running gags in the series is whenever her brother calls her a “Kaiju” which she will loudly and aggressively proclaim she is not.

Alright so finally after all these years I decided to play this saga of videogames and after watching this video I gotta express MY opinion; So while I did enjoy how the characters in MOTHER 3 interacted more they still went silent in parts that actually needed some lines from them like when in the end the DCMC gets Duster back on stage and he says nothing at all, Kumatora telling you "You're gonna go?" at the end when Flint moves on but then she doesn't say anything when the Magipsy said her farewell to her or when she learned Starstorm just to name a few... I played the games in order so for me MOTHER 1 was basically "You imagine your protagonists and you imagine their interactions" which helped when I played EarthBound given they get a few lines of dialogue (so you at least understand their personalities) but stayed quiet most of the time so I got back to imagine how they were aside from that and I very much rather have that than a weird middle ground, might as well just go all out and make them all speak more constantly except for Lucas. The episodic format was also a bummer to me, it made me play with so many characters that I felt completely dettached from them all because I was playing through it thinking "Okay so when am I gonna play with Lucas an the other 3 kids??", "Oh so I guess Flint is a protag... Maybe not, should I train him then?", "Ah this Monkey must be one of the heroes", etc. I was so lost with all of those characters having a spotlight by the time the team got assembled for real and then separated I wasn't even sad. Also the world felt too linear for me, so many times having to go back to Tazmily instead of feeling like an actual adventure which I think both MOTHER 1 and EarthBound captured perfectly. Not saying it was a bad game but I guess the expectation of so many people wanting MOTHER 3 and Lucas' representation on Smash made me believe it was going to be WAY better than EarthBound and it's just not for me, if anything the best word to describe it is different. STILL gotta say that ending is easily the best of all three games and it's not even close.

I get this video is 4 years old now but what rings true is that much of the anime fan base continues to act this way. Everyone is looking for certain scratches to be itched and everyone is looking for creative subversions, but sometimes there's something else going on, sometimes we're watching something completely different, and they just can't understand that. Good video.

I disagree - Hellgirl is about revenge being bad, yes, but it is also how many people are forced into situations where the only choice is the sin of using the hell correspondence. the terrible darkness of the world we live in, and the flaws of society (in this case, modern japanese society,) create unfair situations and Hell Correspondence is the only way out. Maybe some people could have used other methods, but those methods were less available - and maybe less permanent. So I would say the premises of Hell Girl are: Revenge is bad Society is broken and leaves people without support Vengeance can get out of control and perpetuate in a cycle that only grows and consumes and Ai herself exemplefies this: 1: Her society is what murdered her, for no other reason than she was different. She and her parents had few options available. 2: Her act of revenge, though justified, ultimately meant nothing. Her village and murderers burned, yes, but her parents are now hostages essentially and nothing truly changed. 3: Ai is then pressed into service as an agent of vengeance, expanding the cycle of vengeance. It's implied that the Lord of Hell is using Hell Girl as a tool to further perpetuate vengeance.

this gotta be the saddest and mist psychological anime i’ve ever seen, i found it because i searched “anime music” on spotify and then heard this song, was listening to it while playing games for a few weeks and then looked at the album cover and was like “ah so it must be a from a cute slice of life anime” and being new to anime i wanted to try to watch as many different types as possible to see what is my favorite genre… well i found the show, started watching episode 1 and half way thru i noticed it said “horror” in the genre and i was extremely confused…. then it got to the last few minutes of the first episode and i was in complete and udder shock… just finished watching this about an hour ago lol
